There's something so wonderful about the details, patterns, textures, colours and names found in plants and this has fascinated me since I was a small child. I'm really drawn to the tiny details found in meadows, woodland, hillsides and wildlife friendly gardens, the delicate layers of colours and patterns as the sunlight filters through petals and leaves.
Much as I adore walking, photographing and drawing places like the mountains in Skye, the vast forests of Finland or the wide spread of coastline in Northumberland - I keep being pulled to the teeny details of moss, lichen, to the small and delicate spring flowers found in woodland and meadows, to leaf galls, to seed heads, to shadows cast on the floor of a wood...
